SUMMARY:When in Doubt, Paint it Out!
DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Family Literacy Week and in partnership with the Wakeham Adult and Vocational Education Centre, join wholeness coach Gabrielle Hélène Coulter for this fun and interactive workshop, full of creative expression!\nIn the current climate of fast paced information and messaging, true communication has taken a back seat.  We are progressively moving away from elaborate, healthy communication.  That being said, spoken and written word are not always accessible and certainly aren’t the only way to communicate our feelings.  Emotions can be messy.  So why not embrace the mess, and make it art!\nDuring our time together, we will learn how to tap into our bodily experiences to get information on how we’re feeling, and how emotions and thoughts show up in the body.  We will then use that information to create a group mural and learn how to let our bodies communicate for us.\nFor this workshop you will need clothes you do not mind getting paint on and an open heart!\nOpen to ages 8 and older.  Participants may come alone or with a friend or family member.\nWho is Gab? Gabrielle Hélène Coulter is a neurodivergent choreographer, yogi and wholeness coach living on the unceded Mi’kmaq land of Gespeg.  She has over 20 years of teaching experience in body-centered wellness work and hopes to help as many people as possible learn communication through creative and mindfulness-based workshops.\n
